? Farewell Europe, Hello Australia ?

It’s the end of an era. I stayed in Innsbruck, Austria for a decade. I was self-employed there for 6 years. Now I’m about to leave Europe and move to Australia. I’m joining Canva!

The Sydney-based startup is building several tools to help you design presentations, social media graphics, and more with thousands of beautiful layouts in the blink of an eye.

It’s been named Australia’s coolest tech company two years in a row by JobAdvisor, and just recently it became a unicorn through a new investment by Sequoia China. Pretty sweet huh?

Although it’s hard to leave everything here behind, I’m so excited to join their insanely talented team of ex-Google, VMware, ThoughtWorks, and Atlassian engineers.

I think this is a great opportunity for me to learn, share and grow. Both as a developer as well as a human.

This is gonna be an adventure I look forward taking on.
